Grail Software Solutions
Grail Software Solutions (GSS) is a small company that has been set up by two partners, Graham Alderson and Phil Blake, to develop software. With over 70 years of experience between them in the IT industry, they plan to use their knowledge and skills to develop high quality and innovative software, with an emphasis on usability and user interface design, based on recognised software development techniques. Initially they are developing software products based on IBM® MQ, exploiting their extensive knowledge of this widely used middleware product, and will work closely with their users and customers to extend and adapt these to their requirements.
Phil worked at IBM® Hursley for more than 33 years in development, test and support roles in many departments. He has several patents in his name, published articles and received various technical achievement awards. In the last 10 years at Hursley he worked in the MQ group as the main developer for MQ internet pass-thru (MQIPT) and on the MQ Explorer feature. Since leaving IBM in 2010 he has teamed up with Graham to form Grail Software Solutions, focusing on the infrastructure content including development of common interface utilities with IBM® MQ and IBM® MQ Light. Phil’s other interests include golf, badminton, running, skiing and charity work.
